Anvil and Candle: The Eco-Friendly Candle Company
If you’re anything like me, then you most likely have candles scattered throughout your home, and there’s a good chance those candles are half used. One year, I left a Christmas Cookie scent sitting on the windowsill well into April. Maybe your baked scent is tucked away in a misfit candle cabinet; filled with dust and won't make a comeback for the next holiday season. That was my relationship with candles from my very first earnest sniff as a child, as it was most of my family's.
So I continued this tradition as many of us candle users do, until I grew sick of throwing out large, soot-filled, half-used candles. What a waste, I thought. It’s not as though these candles broke my bank, but $20 per candle when I had 7 collecting dust adds up. I wish I had a reusable holder that I could just change scents with. Whoah, now that was a powerful thought. Why couldn’t I just create one? So, I did.
And just like that, Anvil and Candle was born. At its core: A reusable candle holder crafted from renewable materials that cradles a recyclable steel cup filled with locally grown natural soy wax and infused with high quality fragrance oils.
I was also inspired by the little things that makes my life easier, like laundry and dishwasher pods to single-serve coffee pods. Each candle cup fits into a reusable handmade holder as perfectly as my favorite coffee pods into my single-cup brewer. I couldn’t believe such a simple concept would completely change my candle outlook forever!
Not only was function important to me but the quality of the candle materials. That’s why I chose American Soy Organics Freedom wax; one of the highest quality soy wax, and paired it with completely toxin free fragrance oils. This to me, is a candle with a purpose and a specific function. Take away the cluttered, half-used, paraffin wax candles and replace them with an eco-friendly, clean burning solution.
